Biography

Following 18 years in acute nursing and nurse education in London teaching Hospitals, Josie started work at the University of Surrey in 1990 through the Human Potential Research Group where teaching and researching personal and professional development was the main focus using a wide range of theories and models from Adult Learning, Organisational Learning and psychotherapeutic disciplines. Josie was Director of Studies for the MSc in Change Agent Skills and Strategies from 1997 – 2003 where her main teaching was psychological coaching. She has also contributed to other programmes in Adult Education Teacher Training and Qualitative Research Methods. Josie continues to offer PhD supervision on a range of subjects to change agents, organisational consultants, psychotherapies, counsellors and personal, professional and spiritual facilitators. She has also trained as a Group Facilitator and Psychotherapist and is registered with the UKCC. Her PhD studies brought together social psychology and interpersonal relationships in professional practice.
