This conference offers a welcome opportunity to investigate scoring practices at the birth of the sound era in cinematic traditions outside Hollywood and the USA.
Mario Minarini attended the Art Institute in his native Florence. Originally, he studied to be a Goldsmith before turning to painting. He adopted a traditional Florentine style in painting and drawing composition, then studied with the maestro Alessandro Berti at the Accademia delle belle Arti in Florence. In 2008 Minarini was awarded the Fiorino d'Argento ex-aequo. His work has been exhibited in many Italian galleries.
