Russ Clark
Russ joined the Careers Service at Surrey in 1993 after 15 years as a careers adviser in the University of London Careers Service. Before that, he spent a brief period as a research biochemist with Beecham Pharmaceuticals.
Russ works part-time on Mondays and Tuesdays. The rest of the week is covered by Brendan Healy.
Specialisms: Science, mathematical and engineering subjects, dietetics and nutrition, nursing, paramedic practice.
Brendan Healy
Brendan began working at the Careers Service in June 2011 having previously operated as Careers Adviser at the University of Southampton. Prior to this he advised students in secondary and further education. Brendan works part-time on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and shares subjects specialisms with Russ Clark.
Specialisms: Science, mathematical and engineering subjects, dietetics and nutrition, nursing, paramedic practice.
Andrew Bennett
Andrew has worked as a University Careers Adviser for nearly 20 years joining the Careers Service at Surrey University in October 2011. Prior to this he worked for the University of Southampton before which he established a new Careers Service at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. He has also had experience working as a Careers Adviser in schools and colleges in Gloucestershire and has completed a professional qualification in Careers Guidance.
Specialisms: Management studies (including MBA), economics, music, dance, film and theatre studies, languages.
Jeanette Holt
Jeanette qualified as a Careers Adviser in 1979 and obtained her first post advising school leavers. Subsequent posts have involved working with Further and Higher Education students before joining the University of Surrey in March 2001.
Specialisms: Biological sciences, cultural studies, media studies, electrical and electronic engineering, English, physics, politics, psychology and sociology.
Ann Henderson
Ann trained as a teacher and taught in a large comprehensive school in Liverpool for 3 years. Following a conversation with the school's Careers Adviser she re-trained and qualified as a Careers Adviser at Manchester Polytechnic, as was, and has been happily employed as one for 34 years. Ann has been working in HE for 15 years, over which time she has happily been employed in 4 institutions in the South of England, before joining the University of Surrey in 2003.
