TeNT Award applications for Semester 2 - due by Friday 29th January 2010.

The Teaching with New Technologies (TeNT) award scheme is designed to offer encouragement and support for staff who wish to explore the use of emerging technology to enhance learning. A £500 award is available to undertake a project that applies new technologies in order to enhance an aspect of learning and teaching and to evaluate and share the results and impact. We are also very pleased to announce that the following applicants have been successful in their applications for TeNT awards for 2009-2010: 

Mary Dickinson (SPLASH) is using the social networking platform Ning to facilitate a learning development community for PGT students. Dr Miranda Horvath (Department of Psychology, FAHS) is using PebblePad to facilitate the collaborative development of a web resource for and by Level 2 Psychology students. Cathy Howard (Department of Languages and Translation Studies, FAHS) is exploring the use of on-line discussions in ULearn and PebblePad blogs to assess student progress and achievement. You can find more information on these projects here. There are also a number of other proposals currently being reviewed.
