Tuesday 12 December 2006

The Department of Computing at the University of Surrey are the first anywhere to make use of the IET.tv "Research Seminars Channel"

According to IET.tv, this is a "broadband television service which connects you to lectures, seminars, conferences and news". By visiting the IET.tv website (http://www.iet.tv/ channels/research/index.html), you can view a presentation by Dr Matthew Casey titled "So you want to know what the matrix is?".

The Research Seminars Channel is being launched by the Chief Executive of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, Professor John O'Reilly, on 9 May via the IET.tv website in a presentation titled "LIVE: Research Frontiers in Content Engineering".

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) was formed by a convergence of IEE and IIE.
