Prof Alan Woodward interviewed by the RGS-IBG for its 21st Century Challenges

Prof Alan Woodward was interviewed by the RGS-IBG (Royal Geographical Society with Institute of British Geographers) for its next 21st Century Challenges series event on "Keeping pace with a digital revolution" which will take place on 16th May 2012 at the Society's headquarters in South Kensington, London. Alan was talking about the disruptive nature of the internet and how it is changing our world. The video of this interview is available online at here.


Top cryptology conference co-chaired by Dr Mark Manulis

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the International Conference on Practice and Theory in Public Key Cryptography (PKC), which attracts annually more than a hundred researchers from academia and industry, working on all aspects of public key cryptography. Being regarded as a highly reputable and competitive conference, PKC is patronized by the International Association of Cryptologic Research (IACR).

PKC 2012 is co-chaired by Dr Mark Manulis and will be held in Darmstadt (Germany) in the fourth week of May. With the overall record number of 188 submissions and a particularly low acceptance rate of 22%, PKC 2012 features 41 papers on all aspects of public key cryptography and one invited talk.
