Our undergraduate degree programmes bring together the core of computing with themed topics. Each programme is designed to provide you with the essential computing skills coupled with topics focused on IT in business, professional software development or mixing hardware and software fundamentals.

BSc Computer Science »

Subjects for the Computer Science undergraduate degree
This programme is designed to help you develop all of the skills you will require to design and implement software and systems to a professional standard.

Structure

Year 1: mandatory core and theme modules

Year 2: mandatory core and theme modules

Year 3: optional professional training year

Year 4*: optional modules and professional project

(* Year 3 for those not doing professional training.)

Projects

You can choose your own final year project topic or select from a variety suggested by our staff. Examples of projects can be found in our current teaching resources.
