Introduction to Economics at Surrey
The School is vigorous and dynamic. It actively pursues the highest standards in teaching and research. Many of the programmes it runs and the research it produces are of an applied nature. Applications for undergraduate programmes have remained buoyant over recent years and the intake is of a high academic quality. In addition the School runs several postgraduate programmes. Staff-student relations are excellent and the School prides itself on creating a warm and friendly environment in which all its members are able to realise their full potential. The main thrusts of research in the School relate to energy economics, international economics, macroeconomics and the economics of social issues such as health and crime.
