A recent article published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) has cited the work of Professor Molly Courtenay from the Division of Health and Social Care.
Entitled 'Handing over the Prescription Pad', the article cites the research carried out by Prof Courtenay which looked specifically at nurse prescribing including work in dermatology, diabetes and pain, and the impact on service delivery.
Prof Courtenay and colleagues are currently undertaking research for the East of England Strategic Health Authority looking at prescribing by Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Healthcare Professionals, and the feasibility of shared learning between these groups and undergraduate medical students at Cambridge University.
