International opportunity for Surrey's Veterinary Biosciences students

Thursday 7 January 2010

We are pleased to announce that our 2009 Veterinary Biosciences students have been given an exciting opportunity to go on a summer research internship at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The students will work on a full time 10 week research project alongside their allocated mentor, to allow them to gain valuable veterinary research experience early on in their course.

A limited number of places are available and the two students with the best exam performance from their first set of exams will be awarded with a fully funded place each on the internship programme. We hope to be able to offer this unique experience to future cohorts on the Veterinary Biosciences programme.

Surrey has a long-standing reputation for excellence in both teaching and research in the biomedical sciences. This new degree builds on these strengths and is run in collaboration with experts from the Veterinary Laboratories Agency and the Institute for Animal Health.
