FHMS Health and Safety
The Faculty Health & Safety Adviser covers a wide variety of issues including occupational safety, ergonomics, general health & safety advice, radiation protection and hazardous substances.
Information and assistance can be provided to staff and students to prevent work related ill health, to reduce risks to health from occupational hazards and to promote health and safety.

First Aid Information
In the event of major accidents and incidents dial 3333 or 0800 525790 the University emergency numbers. There are a number of First Aiders in the Faculty who can also help.

Reporting Incidents and Accidents
Serious incidents should be reported to H&S by phone (ext 9362) or e-mail safety@surrey.ac.uk.
For everything else, including near-misses, please complete and follow the instructions on the incident report form to be found on the Incident Reporting page of the H&S web site.
