Medical Microbiology Student Info

MSc Medical Microbiology

Information for current students

The structure of the Academic Year at the University of Surreyhas now changed. The autumn semester (semester 1) will now start in the first week of October, and will carry over into January. The spring semester (semester 2) will start in February and continue to June, with a mid-semester 4-week break at the start of April.

All module numbers have been changed to conform to a common University standard. There will be further changes to the structure of the programme arising from the University requirement for M level modules to carry 15 credits or multiples thereof.

Revised guidelines for the preparation of a dissertation are now available - use the link below.

Following re-structuring of the University, this MSc programme is now run from within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

There have been some changes to the assessments of the Dissertations, and (for full-time students only) the credit rating of the research project with one of the Easter practicals becoming optional. These changes were implemented for new students as from September 2006. For returning students, there will be a transition period during which the old regulations can be applied if the student would be disadvantaged by the changes.
