From our Alumni

Daniel Smith, MA in Translation

"I was certain that I had made the right decision in continuing as a PG at the University of Surrey when I was lucky enough to secure full time employment within a month of completing the MA. My first job was Project Manager for one of the world’s largest translation and localization providers. I built on everything I learned while studying the MA, including the use of Computer Assisted Translation tools and Project Management, a highly transferable skill across all professional fields."

Alex Foyster, BA Languages and Contemporary Cultures

"At the University of Surrey you are working and studying alongside like-minded people. There is a lot of potential for taking other subjects alongside a language, but everyone studying here at least understands the importance of foreign languages. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to study in clean, modern surroundings and anyone who wants to enjoy their time at university."
