- Where are the courses held?
All classes are taught in high-quality teaching rooms on campus, many of them purpose built language labs. All learners are able to use the excellent self-study facilities in the new Library and Learning Centre. Opening hours can be checked at http://www.surrey.ac.uk.library.

The Department of Languages & Translation Studies staff are highly experienced in advising learners about levels. You can speak to one of our tutors on the telephone, or at one of the open evenings.

All learners are able to use the excellent self-study facilities in the new Library and Learning Centre. Opening hours can be checked at http://www.surrey.ac.uk/library/.
- How will I be taught?
Speaking and understanding the spoken language are very important skills for most people. Our classes concentrate on building your confidence in the language and you can expect to be taught in the language you are learning and have plenty of opportunity to participate in class.
The course materials are related to real life, enabling you to acquire knowledge of the country as well as its language. You will be given work to do each week.
- How often and how long for?
Some of our classes are intensive and meet twice a week for 8 weeks, while others run for 16 weeks, one evening a week. Advanced, Intermediate and Advanced Spoken Languages meet once a week over 8 weeks.
