A unique partnership between the School of Law at the University of Surrey and Surrey Law Centre was celebrated in a well attended launch event on Monday 12th July 2010.

Following a ribbon cutting at Surrey Law Centre's new premises in the centre of Guildford, Ms Cherie Booth QC gave a public lecture at the University of Surrey.

The partnership has created four placements for Law students across the academic year, in addition to a volunteering scheme for many more, to work with solicitors at the Surrey Law Centre to tackle the legal problems of people who cannot afford to pay for a solicitor.
