Maths Society
Firstly, we have a pub quiz organised for Tuesday 6th March at Wates House. The entry will cost £2 per person, and teams should consist of 4-6 people, so grab your friends and join us for a fun evening. There is a prize for the team that finishes first and second, and also a prize for the team with the best name, so start thinking of some original, witty names.
Secondly, the main event of the year for the Maths Society is here, the Maths Ball! The Maths Ball will take place on Friday 23rd March at the Holiday Inn, 7pm. The evening promises to be a real treat, with a 3 course meal, live DJ and some professional casino tables to keep you entertained. Tickets are priced at £30, which covers everything for the evening. We are going to start selling them tomorrow, outside of AP1 at 10-12, so bring your money and grab yourself a ticket before they sell out! Feel free to invite your friends, all are welcome.
Lastly, the meetings are now Tuesday 1-2 hopefully in 40AA04, but if this room isn't free, we'll go to the Maths Common room instead. As previously mentioned, we'll hopefully be sorting out a lot more academic events alongside the social one, so if you'd like to help come along. Also if you'd like to run for next year's positions, start writing you speeches now!
