Teaching Maths

The Department of Mathematics offers a range of courses at undergraduate level (BSc and MMath) and at doctoral (PhD) level. The knowledge and expertise of our academic staff ensure the quality of all our degree programmes, so that you are well placed to progress to the next stage of your career on completion of the programme. Undergraduate

Our undergraduate programmes provide a broad range of modules in different areas of mathematics, as well as offering many joint degree programmes with other subjects, including computing, finance and music. Our MMath programmes provide the opportunity to deepen your mathematics training and experience.

We have an active Maths Society which organises social events and offers support to fellow students.

Postgraduate Research (PhD)

Our postgraduate research programme gives the opportunity to study a particular topic in depth at PhD level. The results of this study are presented in a doctoral thesis. Individual supervision is provided by one or more members of academic staff.
