Possible PhD Projects

Phi Ratio and Geometry

Below are links to some possible PhD projects in our research and application areas. Projects vary considerably: some cover more theoretical areas, while others have more of an emphasis on numerics or applications. Where appropriate, projects appear under more than one heading. Alternative projects can be formulated through discussions between prospective PhD students and individual staff members. If you are interested in a specific research area, please feel free to contact the appropriate staff member or the PhD admissions tutor Dr Gianne Derks.

Most of our PhD students have a first degree in mathematics, but several projects are suitable for students with a background in another discipline.
