PhD studentships and funding
The Department of Mathematics has some scholarships for home/EU students and a few partial scholarships for overseas students.
Home/EU students
Normally the department has some scholarships for home/EU students via the Research Councils. If you are interested in such scholarship, an early application is recommended. Qualified UK graduates are usually eligible for full funding by the Research Councils, whilst other EU students are usually eligible for funding of fees only. More information about criteria for eligibility can be found via the Graduate School funding page.
Overseas students
The department has a few scholarships for partial funding for overseas fees. However, funding for overseas students is very limited and overseas students are in general responsible for finding suitable funding themselves. Some suggestions for potential sources can be found at the Graduate School funding page.
