Biography
Dr Tim Brookes joined the University as Lecturer in Audio in January 1997, having previously been a Research Associate in the Department of Electronics at the University of York. Prior to that he worked in Nottingham at Business Systems Computing and at The Square Centre recording studios.
He is Director of Research in the IoSR, Senior Professional Training Tutor for the Tonmeister Programme, and Webmaster for the IoSR.
Research Interests
Tim's research activities are on the engineering side of psychoacoustics: measuring, modelling and exploiting the relationships between the physical characteristics of sound and the corresponding perception evoked in listeners.
