Department to participate in Brazilian Government's Science without Borders programme

Wednesday 2 May 2012

The University and the Physics Department is participating in a new programme of the Brazilian government to support Brazilian students to study for both BSc and PhD degrees in the UK.

We are a friendly Department which is home to students from all over the world, and we look forward to welcoming students from Brazil. Our undergraduate degrees typically have around 60 to 70 students per year, taught by 25 academics. For the undergraduate scheme, Brazilian students who wish to apply  for a first degree (BSc) must apply through a central UK service (called UCAS). This is described (with links) here. There is more information on the Department's degrees here, where you can also see short videos where our current students talk about life at Surrey.

We will also host PhD students under this programme, details of how to apply under this programme should appear on the UK's Science without Borders webpage in June. However, you can look at our PhD page now, and look at possible projects on offer in the Department. If you are interested in a project, please contact the academic responsible for that porject.
