Biography
Durga Aryal obtained the Master degree in physics, 2003, from University of Stuttgart, Germany. He received the Ph.D degree in July, 2007, from the University of Surrey. Since October 2007 he is a research fellow at the University of Surrey.
Research Interests
- Silicon photonics and negative index metamaterials
- Two dimensional Photonic Crystals
- Opal based photonic crystals , flexible plastic photonic crystals for functional color
- Computational photonics: Finite-Difference-Time-Domain (FDTD)method, Plane wave expansion (PWE) method.
