Biography

I joined the University of Surrey in August 2006 after previously holding positions as a Visiting Lecturer at the Government Department, London School of Economics (2005-2006), Visiting Fellow at the LSE's Centre for International Studies (2005-2006) and ESRC Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of International Relations, LSE (2004-2005). Between 2004 and 2006 I also worked as a Sessional Lecturer at the Department of Politics and Sociology, Birkbeck College, London. I spent 2009-11 as an Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow in Germany. During this period I was based at the Chair of German and Comparative European Politics at the University of Potsdam and the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (German Institute for International and Security Affairs) in Berlin.
